“Sunday is done now. We can’t do anything about that game anymore so now we have to focus on the last five games that we have in this season because we are in a situation that isn’t easy, but it’s not the worst,” he said.

“I know that all the supporters are having a really hard week,” he said. “It hurts because I come from Argentina and we know what derbies mean. I feel the same here and that is why it is so painful.”

More bullshit. The situation will be terrible if we don't pick up a point on Saturday. How he has the balls to say anything after one of the worse performances I have ever seen from a Newcastle player in years (Shola is just **** most of the time anyway) from him is baffling. It doesn't matter though as no matter how **** Jonas is on the pitch, Pardew will play him in the next game regardless.

Only a result on the weekend will matter for anything. Do that and maybe we can stay up.

Paying good money to go to the game tomorrow. Statements like that mean absolutely nothing. It's talking on the pitch that matters. I expect a good performance tomorrow and three points after that shambles on Sunday.

I believe him that he's hurting. Sadly hurting doesn't change the situation we're in. Using it to fire yourself up and perform might change things.

There have been too many interviews this week from too many of our players. They should be spending every spare minute on the training pitches putting in hard graft to improve performances or spending time on tactical work if too fatigued. They should not be boring us to tears (as if we are not already cried out at their inept performances) and wasting their time mouthing platitudes. The more I hear from player x, y or z about how much the last match hurt, how we are going to get revenge, how they are going to put things right in the next game, the more hope I lose. We always seem to do poorly after such talk (could be because we always seem to do poorly fullstop!). I'd very much like it if they could just shut up and channel the feelings into fight and effort and improved performances on the pitch. Sheesh.

    This.

The adage put up or shut up springs to mind.

Not their choice. The club tells them to do the interviews

If it bothered them that much none of them would have been as flat as they where. They should be put through there places and Jonas in particular is one dimensional as a player and holds the rest of them back.

We're all hurting, unfortunately we who can't do anything on the pitch have to pay for our hurt, while the guys on the pitch that could do something are getting a hell of a lot of cash under false pretences.

    This.

There was no excuse for that performance. There is bad...and then there is just downright insulting.

People seem to forget that the bloke is not a left back. He was asked to play in a position where, in the past, he has proven to be a liability. He's a defensive midfield player/defensive wide player.

He got molested by Sunderland's wingers. He put in a few good performances before the Sunderland game, and to play him in his unfavoured position, especially when he was low on energy, was a ****ing dreadful decision by Pardew.

Haidara should have played against Sunderland.

One of many he has made this season. Haidara should have started that game. If Jonas plays tomorrow (and we all know he probably will) then he needs to stay on his feet and put in a MOTM performance.
