Stomach Bug, supposedly posted on twitter saying he was 'gutted' not to play. Reading between the lines he was probably given a start, but then Ainsworth/Wright played instead and we had a good result.

BTW- Aisnworth linked with move to stoke as he is out of contract next summer

yes Jonny Taylors been ill for a week and was sent home in isolation is a lot better now and will start training again this weekend. As for the the Stoke rumour not sure what to think of that. My husband and son are unfortunatly Stoke fans and cant see this as ringing true, but who knows? stranger things have happened.

i cant imagine hed fit into stokes team of beasts?! hes not enough of a physical player to go there is he?!
re ainsworth - and i just dont understand why we always let players contracts run down, why dont we tie them up when they have a year left on contracts rather than panicking when it comes to may?!

i suspect stoke are in an ever lengthening queue which may grow a lot longer after the arsenal upset

Contract or no contract, do you really think we'd be able to keep a player who had the chance to go to the Premier League?

I hope it's a nothing rumour - 8 assists in 7 games is not something we can afford to lose.

true, it would be impossible to keep hold of him if an offer came in, but if we kept our better players on longer contracts, then surely if a club did come in then we would be in a position to be able demand a higher transfer fee, rather than lose him for next to nothing
lionel is 24 in october and out of contract at the end of the season. as well as this, huddersfield have a 20% cut of any transfer fee.

he has been excellent this season, he seems settled and mr turner knows how to get the best from him.

surely a new contract offer now could be a wise idea? so if we were to lose him it would be for a fairer price

Can't see why Lionel wouldn't sign a new contract. Stoke have a bit of spair change(£1m would be great) but PL would be a huge step up. He's unproven in the Champ so may not be too eager.
