So it looks like jol is going for this guy again, i hope so as i think he could do a job for us in the EPL.

i wonder if this is to replace someone or as a back up.

Has El Hamdaoui had a falling out with Ajax or has he been injured ? as I noted he hadn't been in the Ajax team since the 3 games from the end of last season. Also his photo was not put in the players squad on the Ajax site for this season.

I heard he can be a very moody player. A bit like Dembele at AZ. But what I've seen of him on clips, he looks like the type of player we need. Likes shooting at goal, likes taking on full-backs, good crosses, and scores goals.

Yeh he had a arguement with De boar and he made him train with the Youth team since, de boar has said that he dont want him at the club and demoted him,

Plus Jol said that he is the best finisher he has had play for him aswell,

He's 6'0" - the same as Zamora - so although he's not a giant, he could well be either a partner for Bobby or someone to shoulder the targetman responsibilities in Bobby's absence. He's sounded ideal to me all summer - sign him!

Plenty of goals however this Dutch league is not the greatest, no disrespect. We need a backup to Zamora so providing its not sily money ok.

Fair point about the Dutch league, Cottagecravens, but El H's goalscoring record last season was on a par with Suarez. Nobody from Liverpool is saying that Suarez isn't up to the standard of the Premier league. Granted, None of that means that El Hamdaoui will is guarenteed to be the same, but there's every reason to be optimistic. I think a fee of £5m sounds about right. What is sure is that there's more grounds for hoping he'll be a regular goalscorer for us than there is for any of the options we currently have to play alongside Zamora.

From what I read, he might be suitable for either or both. If that's the case, he looks ideal to me.
