Really hoping thet CH has a card up his sleeve with a new striker that is going to wow and surprise us all. He surely must be signing a striker.BUT WHOOOOOOO?? Its doing me bleedin head in boys.
I'm sure that any striker that comes in will be better than either Chris Martin or Wilbrahimovic. Vaughan hasn't gone permanently, only on loan, and that is a win win for us, he succeeds we extend for another year, he fails well there is one less injury-riddled player in our squad...ain't many left with Whitbread and Ayala also gone Transfers all about improving the squad and that has been very true this summer.
We still have a loan slot I believe and would be silly not to use it. Perhaps it'll be CMS with A.N.Other on loan (Guidetti maybe)?
I'd agree, I think the players signed are generally better than those last year at this time. I think Snodgrass is better than Pilkington, Butterfield better than Bennet, Bassong better than De Lait,(although I do wish we'd gone down the foreign route), its just whether Hughton has the touch to install a fearlessness and confidence which I'm not to sure about.
I think we should expect nothing and if it happens, it happens. Theres obviously something going on though
After this on Sky, I get the feeling he's got his eye on someone, but at the moment the price is too high http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/8034732/Hughton-open-to-late-moves
Sorry, Beef, but surely those two statements cancel each other out? Or did I stay in the pub for one G + T more than was good for me ?
I'll be glad when this transfer window thing is over and we can get on with the games. We've spent the last two weeks talking about pure speculation much more than the actual football.
Give Holt the ball in the edge of the 18 yd box and he will bury it. Just watch his goal against Man Utd and believe we already have one of the best strikers in the PL he just needs to be given chances, a new pair of boots in this position will not make that much difference if any at all
