The problem with porn is not an ethical thing (for me anyway) - Google keeps punishing us in search rankings, the ads that pay the server bills keep getting suspended, a mobile phone network consortium has threatened to block us on 3 of the biggest mobile networks (unless users specifically opt in to porn) and the British Board of Film Classification have been sending threatening emails about content saying they are going to rate us an adult site. It's just more effort than it's worth at the minute. I'll create password protected boards for those who haven't already got one and want one (although some of the more severe content in some of these boards will probably need addressed at some point!).

I've already been trying to clean up General Chat (which is some bloody job) and I've already had Tina (who I've been pals with on here for 4 years) run off in a huff - but it needs to be done, as me trying to introduce technical solutions (such as hiding images to guests) ends up breaking the site because the code and cache system is that convoluted.

Myself and Minxy have been in private conversation with Mick. The discussions were around
• our current positions as Supermods,
• the events that led to our resignation
• the new server
• google

The following was concluded:
• The site causes untold work for Supermods.
• Porn causes the site problems with google resulting in banning from searches and advertising.

Therefore we have agreed the following to resolve the above two issues:
• That we will remain on as Supermods until further notice (possibly Christmas)
• All nudity is to be removed from the publicly available boards with immediate effect. Yes including nipples.
• This excludes GC and password protected areas, which the Supermods leave to the responsibility of the site owner.

Brb & Minxy have decided jointly:
• Mods need to remove any porn / nudity posts & links from their boards (with the exception of the already mentioned areas)
• We will ask that mods carry out this request on their individual boards.
• If you don’t know how – ask
• If there are lots – we can permanently delete whole threads if asked
• Failure to do so, then we will
• If mods do not wish to carry out these duties, they need to resign & new mods will need to be appointed
• Any members that decide they wish to break the new forum rules will be banned for a minimum of 72 hours, increasing with each ban.
• Members that decide they want to throw abuse in the direction of the administration team will also be removed
• Mods please put a warning notice on your boards about the new changes – including the ban warning ..


Members please pay attention to rule changes they must be observed and are beyond our remit, If all MODS don't apply the RULES they will either RESIGN or be REMOVED, these instructions must be followed, so if comments with tasteless content disappear, even on banter threads do not complain, no explanations will be offered and bans will be given, regardless, it's all in the rules above...wiz..
