Vanishing spray as was saw at the World Cup will be used in the JPT this season.Im glad to see it is being used as it puts a stop to players trying to move a few yards forward. Also we have missed out on a bye for the first round of the Competition. The byes in the Southern section were awarded to Bristol City,Exeter City,Northampton Town,Plymouth Argyle,Colchester United,Dagenham & Redbridge,Luton Town, and Milton Keynes Dons. Teams we can get in the First Round are....AFC Wimbledon,Cambridge Utd,Crawley Town,Leyton Orient,Peterborough Utd,Southend Utd,and Stevenage.Who reckons we will end up with the hardest draw away at Peterborough?
Bet you are right! However, we must be due for a bit of a run in one of the cup competitions. A nice distraction.
I know some (probably most) people see this as a worthless competition but I quite like it. It's a cup that we could actually win. The money from gate receipts and win prize money could end up paying for extra players. It's money injected into the lower leagues that the big boys can't get their hands on.
Grumpy you're spot on, a day out at Wembley is not to be sniffed at regardless of the competition! I for one hope we take the JPT seriously this season just like all other cup competitions!
