Now that GJ has returned to Yeovil it makes me wonder what the chances are for LJ to also return given that his contract is up in 6 months. He won't have to travel far so useful on the family and if he decides to go into coaching he would be at a club I would imagine would help him
I do hope LJ joins his dad and they both stay at the club for a good while. Would be a nice end to a bit of a tumultous journey for them both.
LJ would be a excellent capture for Yeovil,he never got the credit he deserved here.I remember the time when he was out injured,we were struggling big time,Lee came back in and we started to perform again. A very good League 1 player,a reasonable championship player. He has said that he would not play for his Dad again though
Hopefully given what he went through at Yeovil given his options he will go back as for City he was a great help getting us promoted but in a 4 man midfield in the championship there were times when he just got out muscled and pushed aside. I still remember the reading game when Cisse (playing for them) just run through him like knife through butter. But he did look good when playing in a 5 man midfield with Elliott and Noble. I think the fans started getting on his back when he was getting picked and Hartley was sat on the bench and then there were comments from other players about GJ picking him first. Either way I only have respect to him for the good things that he did for the club and given his investment outside of football shows that he is a very clever man.
Hmmm.. Not sure about that Andy, People were clamouring to get him replaced and when he was with Hartley, he suddenly got back in to the side instead of Hartley with some very dubious reasoning as to why Hartley was dropped! Thats how I remember it anyway.
Hartley left because his family stayed in Scotland and he found it too hard having to travel up there to see them I believe? He's managing up there now I think?
http://www.chardandilminsternews.co.uk/sport/9460769.Lee_Johnson_a_possible_target_for_Yeovil_Town_/ I think LJ would still be a useful player in the lower divisions, good luck to the little guy.
Good luck to LJ if he goes to Yeovil, I always thought he was good for us in league one - he and Gary Mc made us tick... the memory of him literally being run over in midfield against Leicester (by Steve Howard I think) will never leave me, you could almost see tyre marks on his shirt..!
