It was removed by me, why, I was asked to ban JH from your board, I did. He cant comment on threads that start on your board because of the ban, I dont think that's fair so, you can either let me remove the ban or stop posting cross board threads about him, up to you.

JackAsh,as a mod on this Board, are you saying you don't know who removed it?
    How can that be?
Aren't mods/supermods, the only people who can remove a post,or article?
Can you please investigate, and report back.
I'm surely not alone in wanting to know how this removal came about.
Best to ignore our bloob friend, as his comment is written from a one eyed standpoint.

syd,how are you?My post,No.7, was made before seeing yours.
Jh has been banned so many times, both here, and on the old BBC Forum.
Any chance you can make it a permanent one, this time?

He is not allowed on this board or to comment on any thread started on this board, the ban will only be lifted if your mods ask it to be.

All I'm asking is to be fair, post this on the Cardiff board, he can comment and their mods can act, its unfair to ban him from commenting then post about him, IMO

Whereas I'm first in line when it comes to throwing anything I can lay my hands on when Hughs is in the stocks I follow cyprussyd's logic. You can't really have him banned and then give him airtime without a right of reply, as vile as he is. Doesn't seem quite right to me.

Despite the fact that this guy has plagued us for years and has been quite sick at times, what with his made up cancer stories, I'd like to think that we're better than that.

PGF: Loved the threads though. Made me laugh. <ok>

Me too. I asked to have him banned because he's a pain in the arse who consistently derails conversations, and as a moderator my role is to make sure people like that are stopped, surely? I can't be arsed trawling the pages every day because of one guy who's trying to wind everyone up, so he's banned. Cheers syd, made my life a bit easier. Does anyone have any real objections to john being banned.

I do follow syd's logic though, which is a shame because the threads were really funny! I wasn't about yesterday due to reasons best left untold and I'm a bit gutted the thread got removed, but I get the reasoning behind it.

Freedom of speech and all that. It doesn't matter if you agree or disagree with what John Hughs comes out with he should not be banned.

If he or anyone else used threatening behavior then fair enough a ban would be appropriate.

PGF has come up with a few threads aimed at him and he took them in a good enough spirit. Lift the ban I say, if he ever got out of control I'd be the first to complain.

Really? He comes onto every thread and derails it! Every thread becomes the same, petty squabbles about nothing in particular and it's boring as ****. I like to talk about football, if I wanted to use **** grammar and wind other people up the internet, and this site, has places for that. If he wants to do it on here, bugger him. For years he's been doing it and everybody has always said "oh it's ok" but it's consistently spoiling threads so sod it. I didn't want to ask for it, but I'm fed up of having to trawl for his ****.

Have to be honest, I agree with Scott 100%.

While banter and all that is good fun, every topic that JH replies to, it completely goes off topic and it's a slanging match. When we are trying to have a decent chat, you need to trwal through pages of complete shait just to find the decent posts.

There's no way around this apart from banning him. We could have a Cardiff/Swansea banter threads as the Cardiff board has, but we cannot restrict him just to that thread.

If there are a number of people that don't want him banned, have a poll and see what the reult is. But at the moment, it's quite annoying having to read through every topic, post for post looking for something JH may have said that is out of order. If there's a way around this, please feel free to tell me, Scott, or Cyprus.

Dilli: "Freedom of speech and all that. It doesn't matter if you agree or disagree with what John Hughs comes out with he should not be banned.

If he or anyone else used threatening behavior then fair enough a ban would be appropriate. "

Well he rarely puts up anything you can agree or disagree with does he? It's the usual vile nonsense including a recent comment about my wife which you found quite funny. It wasn't. I wouldn't put up with that from a Jack let alone a blueturd.

As for threatening behaviour he has offered to meet me at Mumbles Pier for a ruck (I went but he didn't turn up) and has within the last hour posted on the linked Cardiff thread that he would be done for murder if he met me.

    Care to reassess, Dilli?

Oh and he's currently posting on the joint thread so he's unlikely to be at Wembley. I've put it to him and he's not denied it yet. <laugh>

Had no idea Aussie, anyone using threatening behavior should be banned. Seeing as he's done that I can see where the Scott and Jackash are coming from

My views on this pest are well known.
    Ban him permanently.
If anyone wants to deal with him and his tiresome nonsense, well,he's on the cardiff Forum,go visit him there.
I remember a poll taking place not so long ago,re banning him. The poll was nonsensically placed open to voters from up the road, and,of course, they voted in favour of him not being banned. I still marvel at the way that poll was organised.
He's had too many opportunities to act in a reasonable, civilised way,but he glories in being offensive.
    Ban him permanently,I say.

It's happened in the past JA and he came back with a new name. He used to be 'standingfan' on the old 606. Don't think you can prevent name changing - I've done it myself openly a few times. I suppose he'll show his true colours.
