Before I invite a moderator to close this thread, I'd like to point out that Liverpool's board has plenty of off-topic threads regarding various issues. By having all non-football threads under one roof, it can be hard to sustain a discussion if one moment someone is givning a critique of Coldplay's latest CD, while the next few lines are devoted to some absurd videogame debate. As we are in the close season and things are a little quiet footballing wise, why don't we allow non-football related issues and see how they run. If they get over the top then close them. Over to you mods!!

I mentioned in my post above this, that we could extend it, but you'd still need some boundaries. Two, three or four generalised topics should cover it. To keep opening new threads on each individual topic could make it difficult.

Point accepted and thanks FL!!! But as I have upset one or two users, I'll post more non-footballing threads on the designated thread.
 
This thread would have faded if everyone wasn't discussing the validity of the thread:) By the way, will never forget Wilkinson's winning drop goal to take the World Cup...let's have a winning penalty from Rickie to seal the other World Cup (did you see what I did there? Subtle introduction of Saints and football <laugh>).
 
I'm always an advocate for more off-topic threads. I mean, it's the summer, all the football talk is going in the rumour thread, or the Pochettino/Lallana/Shaw threads anyway.

That is exactly the point, Fran. Every time there is thread which someone dislikes and comments that they don't like, up it goes to the top of the listings. If it was ignored it would drop off the page quite quickly.
If only there were people who one could send a PM to, who had some special powers. Administrative super-heroes, who could sort this sort of thing out without automatically bumping the thread all the time.

....wait a minute......<whistle>
