.......and sank Liverpool last season and again tonight.

I bet he is on cloud nine!

Mike Pejic said on the radio after I was driving back tonight "Stoke have now confirmed their arrival in the premier league and were superb tonight", totally agree with Mike and look forward to us taking 3 more points from Southampton!

It sure was a great night Waddo..
A what a hit by super Jon.. John/Jackie Marsh on Radio Stoke said much the same, or was it Pejic? Either way, a great atmosphere and fantastic performance Waddo.

One of the best Potts. When we take teams apart like we did tonight we know we are an established club in the premier league. Nobody wants to come to the Britt now!

Well, much as I like to think WE played very well Waddo. In fact, I know we did, N'Zonzi is some player IMO he was by a mile our MOTM. Seem's some on the Liverpool board think Liverpool we're just plain useless... Oh well, we never get the credit Waddo. It's always "Our team did'nt turn up" excuse. Onwards and upwards mate.

Just been reading through it Potts and it was intereseting to read that during the game the comments were Liverpool were playing poor. But after the game Stoke were bullies and played route one football. Nobody likes to lose to Stoke and that pleases me to be honest. the Britt has to be the hardest ground to go to in the premier league and yet we don't get the plaudits. 8th in the league and looking safe to me will do to go into the New Year with :)

It sure is looking good for another season Waddo .. and who knows where we'll finish? Top half I would be over the moon myself. Even the wife said "Jon Walters is some player" why does'nt he play more often. <doh> What he heck do we know.. just pleased with the whole team ethic, performance and to score 3 vs Liverpool has made my year. I missed last season's win due to our Daughter's wedding. Last night more than made up for that.

When Sunderland came to the Britt a few weeks ago and they came for a draw, I knew then mate were were a club to be reckoned with. Up until then we are always looked at as a beatable side. But not anymore. Pulis says the cheque book is closed for next month but i would just like to see a few fringe players off loaded and just a couple more quality players bought in just incase. Can't wait to see what next season will bring.
Hope you have had a good Christmas Potts and an early Happy new Year to you mate as i will be heading to Belgium on the 28th to Bruges for a few days and so I will miss the Southampton game :-(

True enough re the Sunderland game and even some Pool fans did'nt fancy it last night pre match comments. And I see you have joined me on their board wishing them all the best too Waddo? NOT! Nowt worse than whinging fans who can not lose graciously. ALL the BEST mate.

With regard to the press showing disrespect to stokes perfomance's. There's an article by Phil.McNulty. (the secrets out) on BBC sport on line, sums it all up in a great write up.

  12. What a performance. Got back late last night. Now thinking back does anyone have a wee bit of time for TP? I know I have been critical but he got it right again last night! How I long for 2 wide men most games.

9 points after 9 games from a really hard start, yes we could and should have more but we have moved onwards and upwards and all credit should go to the team and the management.

Banana skin on Saturday and hope they just do not turn up thinking they will win!

    Looking forward to it!

No Chris but I have only missed 2 games at home all season so far so I really should have done :-/

I had visions of working evry saturday at the beginning of the new season as my wife started a new business. She sold the business in Novemeber so no more saturdays to work, giving me time to go once more. I was thinking of picking up the half season one to be honest.

I did but it was a close call. Now? the best decision I've made in some time and the wife enjoyed last nights game mate. We all did. WELL done Tony Pulis the team, the fans a great night to say I was there to see it. And 2 wingers, we passed it around and N'Zonzi ran the show IMO, what a player. He made Gerrard and Co look ordinary. Which they certainly are not.

I have more time for TP purely because of the results. It's difficult to criticise when we are winning, but I would say is this, if you look at teams like Fulham, Sunder etc and take into account how bad there season has been to date they are only a couple of wins behind us! I'm not being negative, just pointing out that we need to compete like this all season, which we have often failed to do? Let's hope we continue.

That's my only worry too! Last season? looked OK then we tailed off when we all said "If only Pulis had played the right team" This seaon? a lot better than I expected and let's see if T.P. has learned anything from that negative approach tag he still has to lose. Last night was a start and what a start. Still, let's stay postive eh?

And not underestimate Southampton who IMO, are not that bad a team.

    Onwards and let's KTF

  18. Hi Yes the biggest problem is that we seem to tail off in the second half of the season in the EPL. Let's hope we can on competing and secure 50 points which I will see as real progress.

Just want to look at the table again to see where th elikes of Fulham, Newcastle, Sunderland and Liverpool sit!

Looked at the Liverpool thread and read some crap from a Liverbird spouting Anti football etc

All joking apart ( and I am one of TPs/Stokes biggest critics) when the results are positive it's difficult or anybody to moan bout our style or tactics!

Humble pie for me , I have slagged off Pulis for selections and tactics and Said Walters couldn't hit a barn door and Jones is a lazy cnut, so that's three helpings ! yum yum there goes my diet !!!
