He seems to be quietly progressing through ranks on Nick Barmby's shirt tails. It wasnt that long ago he was climbing over walls at North Ferriby to retrieve wayward matchballs, however, I also believe he was in charge of team affairs for a reserve game before Xmas. He also seems to be gradually more involved on matchdays at the Circle before and during games without actually being too vocal in doing so. If ever there was a better example of a modern apprenticeship, or as Shankly may have called it, bootroom progression, then I d like to know of it?
