So John Ward has brought back the fight and spirit to Rovers again but would you like him to continue as manager or would you like a new man in charge with new ideas and say have him in a different role next season. John Ward For Next Season Yes No Or Unsure
I'm unsure. JW has worked his magic and WILL save us from relegation no doubt but I wouldn't want next season to end like it did for MM this campaign as JW is a Rovers legend and its not a nice thought of it ending on a sour note.
Don't be silly!.....YES! Chatting yesterday and I think Ward will do a job for us for a season or two, but will want/need to groom a successor, probably a Rovers man. This could be Stewart. Ward himself could be a DoF or head of scouting. I don't think he's got a huge ego so would be prepared to bow out of the limelight.
Double post, so....................... Not sure about Tillson returning. There's no real need at the moment...the defence has tightened up. Although Tillson has some backroom experience I think Stewart has 'crept ahead'
I don't think its that silly most Rovers fans thought MM was the man after he saved are asses last season and look how that ended . Agree that JW could be appointed as a DoF with Stewart and Tilson as joint coaches.
I know...there are no certainties in life...but we have previous with Ward. I thought Buckle was the biz, but then we all found out he was an ar****le. MM seemed to be the man, but somehow didn't fully commit; and had lost touch with the game. I actually think that Ward would walk if it all went wrong.
I agree JW is a gentleman and would do the right thing. Buckle and MM make me cry when I think about them both talked the talk but couldn't walk the walk and were hardly hits with fans I've never heard anyone say anything bad about JW
Unequivocal yes from me. JW has installed spirit and belief and that's worth a fortune to a club in our position. He's also added organisation and discipline. People want to play for him and for the shirt, and he's passionate about the club - it's a no-brainer.
Say JW isn't manager next season then Higgs should definitely give him some sort of role within the club so he can be with the us when we move the Uwe Stadium as he's probably the most respected manager we've ever had even more so IMO then Holloway was.
Sorry but how's it stupid its a simple question its not putting anyone down all I wanted to know is if you want JW next season or someone else Chris posted this on match thread "We had similar feelings about last season mate and ended up ****. I think Ward is better than that though, but wont get carried away until I see this spirit next season. Just wished we had a few more games to go this season and a little less to catch up on as i really think with this form, we would have made the play offs this season!"
Given what Ward has done since his appointment why on earth is anyone asking this question? Is there something the rest of us don't know?
In fact, this thread is so outrageous I demand a full investigation into its posting and author. When that investigation is complete, I fully expect seamge to be pulled simpering out into a dusty courtyard, blindfolded, offered a final cigarette and then very much shot. With extreme prejudice. When we have the likes of smhbcfc questionning the thread, then we know something has gone very wrong!
It's a no brainer. The guy's a legend, has a passion for the club and his record can't be faulted. It always amazes me that some people are never happy. I get fed up with people niggling away at the manager or players. The atmosphere is fantastic at the moment - the whingers on the terraces have been silenced and the Mem is a good place to be again.
