This is the problem with what the FA have done with Suarez. They have set such a dangerous precedent now.

Any idea why the FA dealt with the Suarevra-gate but the CPS have imposed criminal charges on Terry? Is it because of the evidence? Nature of what was said?

And the maximum penalty of a crime of this nature is a fine of £2500.

Evra complain to the FA. The fans who lipread Terry complained to the police.

It does all seem a bit suspect - Terry will be tried under a completely separate legal system, and with a much lower possible penalty, for effectively the same offence. I wonder if the FA will also impose a ban if he is found guilty, or if they will say they can't do anything as it's been dealt with by the police? That would be a right royal whitewash if so!

I agree, similar with the Rooney vs West Ham incident last year, will the FA be consistent in upholding the new "laws" they're trying to regulate? From my understanding the Terry incident was much worse that the Saurez one, but he'll probably be cleared of all charges. Terry should receive an equal if not greater punishment than Saurez..

Exactly. There's also a whole lot more evidence for the Terry incident than the Suarez one. If the FA can find Suarez guilty with nothing going against him except Evra's word, then Terry should be found guilty ten times over.

The thing with suarez's case is that he admitted using the word, quite openly in public.

Terry has been caught on camera and is in a much worse scenario, I suspect no more england games a massive fine and at least a ten game ban

I must sound like a broken record to some...

How on earth do you know what evidence against Suarez the F.A. have? That's right, you don't.

Because it is out of the FA's hands now, they can easily say that Terry has had his punishment and will just carry on like nothing has happened i.e. no ban for club or country.

Not saying that will happen but it wouldn't surprise me with the FA.
