Now if a fan at the SOL was found guilty of a racially aggravated section 5 public order offence. They would be placed under a football banning order by the police. This would ban them from all Sunderland matches.

So why should John Terry not be banned if found guilty? If it's good enough for the fans....

I will stick my neck out on this one.

    Not guilty.

Don't expect he's bothered either way.

He's lost more in one day at the bookies by his own admission.

Very good point Tony, and I wait with baited breath to see what will happen after the verdict..
For me this trial has opened a can of worms regarding abuse: ie, that is to say that the abuse directed at Terry from Ferdinand regarding his personnal life seems to be deemed acceptable by law, but because Terry has allegedly responded with abuse which has mentioned the colour of skin it is deemed as criminal..
For me they were both potentially very hurtful, and I'm struggling to decide where I stand with this one..

By this logic the courts wouldn't be able to ban a bus or taxi driver who has been found guilty of drink driving because it would affect their employment!

He will get found not guilty IMHO.

All the black lads at Chelsea have backed him to the hilt.

    Personally I don't think he gives a ****.

The man is a boil on the arse of society marra.

Anton has already admitted to winding him up.

If a guilty verdict comes in, I'll eat my own smeg, <ok>.

If the FA or PL had dealt with the case he could have been hammered.

2 & a half grand is furk all to him.

    Possibly.

Then he'll get in his Rolls Royce & go back to his multi million pound mansion.

    Really?

Didn't affect Suarez much did it?

My youngun posted it on here.

    Calling Evra a "blackie".

He done his ban & he just gets on with it.

Now I'm not trying to trivialise things here or indeed moralise.

    There is no parity though.

John Terry's barrister will be ripping Anton's entire prosecution team apart, single handedly.

It doesn't matter if he's guilty or not, Terry has brought a 50 Cal' to a knife fight.

This. Who was it that deemed which kinds of personal abuse are acceptable and which are punishable in court? Terrible logic, charges should be dropped, both men apologise, and move on.
