John terry paid for a young fans funeral who he met last year.
Only a young lad from Cambridge, he died of leukaemia.
never liked the bloke but gone up in a bit in my estimations, well done.

He had to do something nice eventually, he'd ran out of horrible things to do.

Seriously though, yes, very nice of him to help the grieving family out, these footballers ain't as bad as they're made out to be after all.

I get the impression that this is a 'decent touch' 'cos he's donated £1,600 for the funeral, which is blinking lovely, but is it not just a donation towards the cost 'cos that doesn't seem to be enough for a decent one :emoticon-0145-shake

I hope that I'm being too disrespectful 'cos it is very good of him, deserving of a lot of credit, but I don't think that I could arrange a funeral for as little as that . . . . and that's up here :emoticon-0138-think

He's a horrible person who I wouldn't like to meet, so I hope that that hasn't 'clouded my judgement' :bandit:

Well done that man anyway <applause>

just read that it paid for the funeral costs, think it was the cars, flowers etc. Settled up with the undertakers so we don't know how much the final bill was but he contributed £1600, i know its a drop in the ocean on his earnings but nice gesture all the same.

I fully agree mate, nice touch but £1,600 wouldn't cover a funeral. It cost me £3,500 to have my mother cremated 6 years ago and that was just the basic cremation.

Fair play to the bloke for coughing up though, he didn't have to did he so fair play.

The least he could do really. Absolute pocket change for him but would make the world of difference to most grieving families. We should be hearing this sort of thing far more often than we do.

I despise the likes of John Terry, but as with what has been already said here. nice touch. He didn't have to do anything, so fair play to him.

I'd like to think it happens a lot more than it does. I'm sure there's a lot of guy's helping out without the need to tell everyone.

Why should John terry have to help, the ****ing corrupt government stopped all funeral funding so they could line the pockets of the rich.
Spose it helps the rich feel good handouts to the poor:emoticon-0132-envy: just what doggy dave wants.
