John Still has had years of canny management in the lower leagues and has got his just rewards in now managing Luton who over the years have always been first or second tier material prior to their financial collapse in 2007. They might be expected to bounce back to Championship level with almost any fool in charge and the fact that it is not a fool but a good bloke like Still will give much pleasure to many. So what is this to do with Gills? Nothing at all really. Still would be out of his mind to take on a tough unrewarding challenge when he has such a comfortable and prosperous outlook staying where he is. Anyway, by common consent most people recognise that if Taylor keeps Gills up this year it will be a momentous achievement and a vacancy would only occur if Taylor walks away, something he has done in the past. I fancy Eamon Rodgers or Morinho for the next permanent manager at Gillingham when Taylor goes but, like Still, this is pointless wishful thinking because they would not leave their existing jobs.
I think this buttershead guy might be called markussomething on fansonline. Similar hatred for all things Peter Taylor.
Butler's Head?... would that be Steve or Tony?? or maybe that lovely old pub near the Bank of England where our chum is well known as a 'Merchant Banker'!!
