The best performance by a centre forward for Donkeys years at Ashton Gate.

If the rumours are true then hopefully performances like that will help SOD make sure we do not loose him.

I have never been Steads biggest fan, You cannot ever really criticise his work rate but his goals return has been awful.

I have to say though he has easily been MOM for me the last 2 home games, awesome performances! He gave the team some focus and lead by example yesterday!!

    Thanks Jon.

If we do stay up, You will have had a very big hand in that happening...

He's a trier which is why everyone loves him. I would like to see him get a new contract as he is a great player to have in the team but I really do think we will see a complete overhaul next season and we will lose our old guard.

It was nice to see our strikers hitting the ball early yesterday, it showed results both in the attempts on target and actual goals..

Was worried when we first signed him as I wasn't sure he was the sort of player who would roll up his sleeves and work like a dog for the team yes he hasn't got the greatest goal return but he showed me I was wrong to worry about his workrate and commitment to the cause so much so, I have a shirt with his name and number on it.

Stead was immense against Barnsley - he was also excellent against Forest - good to see him back to fitness

Stead has everything apart from a deadly finish but gueas if he did he'd be at a top division club. Work rate is prob one of the best in the league

Steads been good this side of the year don't know why he starts seasons off slow, But Adomah is visa versa, Starts off amazingly and ends it average

    Player of the season: Stead/Davies/Heaton
Young Player of the season: Cunningham/Bryan
    Buy of the season: Davies/Cunningham/Anderson

Imagine how much better he could be if we strengthened the midfield to provide him with even better service. Nonetheless his performances of late have been very good. Well done John and keep it going please.

    To summerize:

Hard working class act, busy leading by example deserves his goals for his efforts, Been seeing glimpses of his past premiership quality about him and its a pleasure to watch...................

    ..............Long may it continue...................

Totally agree Red Robin. Also very glad that you got the words of the first sentence in the correct order because otherwise you might have made an "ass" of him.<laugh>

I'd give Heaton player of the season even though there hasnt been many clean sheets. I know in football the praise always goes to who scores the most which is why internationally we always talk about Messi butHeaton has won us points in recent games. Lost count how many saves he has pulled off against Barnley and to play with the back four he has had he deserves something.
