...or another walk in the park for Sprinter Sacre? He ought to win comfortably IMO but will he be as good over an extra half a mile? Cue Card and Flemenstar should be his strongest rivals. It will be a fascinating race and I'm looking forward to it.

Well if Finians turns up in the same mood as he was last year i can definitely see him getting second place and running sprinter to less than 10 lengths.Other than that, its a cake-walk. Would love to see BG turn on the afterburners and give the world a Frankel-esque Queen Anne type performance.

They're running him to get a big rating I would have thought so we're going to see something special. The only way Finians gets within 10 is if Sprinter doesn't stay.

Cue Card to get closer to Sprinter Sacre than he did in the Arkle.

It's a possibility George but we've been down this road before haven't we. I wish you luck if you get stuck in.

If ever sprinter is gonna get beaten then its on friday....but he wont! Flemenstar will finish second, he is a better horse then i think plenty on here give him credit for.

As much as i like CC,he wont get his own way up front like he did last time as he will have Flemenstar for company. And i can see his jumping going to pot when SS looms up hard on the steel 3 out and kicks in the turbo.

Flemenstar gets Sprinter off the bridle. Not saying he'll win but he's very good IMHO. Cue Card is no slouch either.

If anything gets SS off the bridle then he ain't the super horse we think he is. I expect another effortless win for SS

Ron that sounds absurd, He could come off the bridal and scoot clear by 10 plus lengths.

This will not be the race of the season, it will be yet another steering job for Barry Geraghty, on board Sprinter Sacre, who is at the very least 24 pounds superior to Cue Card and Finians Rainbow. Flemenstar is even further behind that pair, and would have to run from out of the handicap, probably with a flat jockey on board, to have an evenly matched race with Sprinter Sacre!

Sprinter Sacre should not be 1/4 to win the race, it should be 1/4 that he comes off the bridle. This will be nothing more than an exercise canter for Sprinter Sacre, the greatest chaser of the modern era, and arguably of all time

hha, i hope your right shergar. What weight do you think SS would have to give those 3 for them to finish in a dead heat?

    Sprinter Sacre 11,10
    Finians Rainbow 10,0
    Cue Card 10,0
    Flemenstar 9,9

Damn, you come out with some pony fella.SS is a chaser of infinite potential, and to say he is arguably the greatest of all time at this stage is laughable.I grant you one day in a few years time we may be calling him the greatest but hes going to have to beat better horses than Sanctuaire and Mad Moose before we start saying that.

I remember being laughed at when I told you all Sprinrer Sacre's chasing debut was the best id ever seen, and that he wouldn't need to come out of 3rd gear to see off Peddlars Cross, who was the current flavour of the month at the time, then people laughed before the Arkle when I said he was the best horse in training, and now I'm apparently talking pony again?

This horse is very special, and the fact he went off as the shortest price festival runner since Arkle himself, supports that he is at the very least the best chaser since the 1960s. Please name me another that has been as impressive as Sprinter Sacre in that time?

Please don't start churning out horses like Desert Orchid, Moscow Flyer or Kauto Star, as none of those were invincible, and none of those were ever good enough to win G1 after G1 without even coming off the bridle

I love him but how on Earth does a starting price say he's the best since the 60's.

And I backed him at 12/1 for the Arkle.

And I took that to the bank.

His starting price is a sign of his dominance, as he has the bookies running scared, they wouldn't dare take him on.

Biggest certainty at the festival since Arkle, shouldn't that tell you everything, and that was only in his first attempt at a championship race. Imagine what the price will be next year? Could be as short as 1/10, as 1/5 for this fella looks good value

Well I backed him with a mans bet and won a substantial amount on him as a few on here can attest and I can tell you exactly what price he'll be for me next Cheltenham... 4/6. And I'm on large.

    LARGE AND IN CHARGE

AND YOU CAN TAKE THAT TO THE BANK

I'm not one for having large sums of cash tied up for 12 months, so wouldn't back him now. You are pretty much betting 4/6 that he stays fit and well, fingers crossed that is the case

Can’t see the Melling being any sort of contest whatsoever and for me it’s Mr Henderson’s Sprinter Sacre first and daylight second. Why if he fails to win then I’ll run down my local High Street starkers!

The biggest danger to the Black Aeroplane has to be that the Geraghty boy will steer him onto the National course.
