He's donated his first clean sheet bonus to 'Help for Heroes' http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwic...roes_pledge_after_chelsea_shut_out_1_1184240?
My son is good mates with Phil Wright. They are or in Phil's case were, stationed in Winchester and instruct young lads and lasses in field craft etc before they go out into the great military world. Unfortunately for Phil he has been seconded to Afghanistan again because of the shortage of NCO's out there. Knowing what my son endured in forward operating bases in the Green Zone and the casualties they took, the money John has donated is crucial. The Americans look after their boys and girls afterwards far better than our government. Lets hope for 16 more clean sheets this season.
You've only got to look at how our government treat our servicemen and women. Compensation for the loss of a limb in the line of duty is paltry compared to someone who whinges about the way their boss says somethng to them and get a mega payout. I've still got a few mates who I served with that have been out there. A casue I believe in very strongly. Full marks to Mr Ruddy.
John seems to be a bit of a gentle Giant really, he always comes across as such a great bloke. If I see you about John, I want to buy you a pint sir, cracking stuff.
£200 no wonder we don't keep any clean sheets Good on the lad though. I admire players like him goodself who does very kind gestures for who are in morw need for the money than most!
Well done Mr Ruddy. Plus it just goes to show that Lambert and the club really are getting the players to play for the shirt.
.....my daughter has been to afghan twice in the last year, second time because the RAF had nobody else to send at that time due to lack of manpower. she is an air operations officer working with the helicopters but was sent back as aircrew for which she has had little training. she is now due to go out again in june for 4 more months.
