John Terry quizzed under police caution over Anton Ferdinand 'racism row' John Terry has been questioned by police over his alleged racist rant at QPR defender Anton Ferdinand. The Chelsea and England captain was under caution when officers spoke to him in Surrey. He was not arrested. The Met said: âOur inquiries continue.â Advertisement >> Terry is said to have called Ferdinand a âf****** black c***â during Chelseaâs clash with their London rivals at Loftus Road on October 23. Hammersmith and Fulham Police travelled to Surrey to quiz him on Friday. His solicitor was present at the pre-arranged interview. It is not known whether officers spoke to him at his home or the clubâs nearby Cobham training ground. Terry strenuously denies the racist allegations and insisted his words were taken out of context. The Met spokesman added: âPolice were notified of an incident on 23 October involving alleged racial abuse. âThis is currently being investigated. âA 30-year-old man was interviewed under caution on Friday, 25 November.â Ferdinand, 26, has said he did not hear the alleged comment at the time but was alerted to it after the final whistle of what was a hot-tempered match which Chelsea lost 1-0. Police became involved after a complaint by a member of the public based on a YouTube clip. The FAâs inquiry into the incident has been put on hold while officials await the outcome of the legal process before deciding on their next step. It is understood police are now preparing more files to send to prosecutors, who will decide whether to charge the player. They have already sent interim papers. The Crown Prosecution Service last night confirmed the full file has not been submitted.
