    He called Matty a "clever bastard." :grin: He also said he was advised when he was joining Stoke, that he shouldn't do it because of the style of play. He also said how good us fans were as well.

    Carew was a good player, in fact probably too good for us because he genuinely could hold the ball up but never had anyone to pass it to!

    Good player he was, didn't suit our style but bloody hell he was as strong as an ox! I've never seen anyone that strong live, not even Drogba.

    Well said John Carew..
    Would have liked to see him up front for us but it was'nt to be. As for Etherington, that was genius yesterday, he had about a 2ft gap to hit and he NAILED IT!
