Barton was our MoM yesterday this a fact that not many would not deny. However his probably best performance yesterday has been unoticed. It was his superb 25 yard pass to Hoilett with the outside of his right foot. Hoilett took the ball down perfectly goes through two burnley defenders to pass Maigas equaliser.

Great Pass during a time when we grabbed the game or when Burnley got a bit knackered ... Good engine but not MOM for me. Hoilett won that for me

Barton definetely MOM for me - a superb performance, clearing up and setting up. Kransjar runner up - great passing, our most creative player. Otherwise I thought Doyle and Maibo had good debuts with their goals, and Traore looked very good 1st half but faded 2nd. Hoilett was better than he has been, and put in a great effort for Maibo's goal, but needs to get in more crosses. I thought the rest put in only average performances, other than BAE who had a terrible game. A great goal from Dunne was offset by his sleepy defending.

Good post Igor. I saw that on the highlights. Dare I say it was very Adelesque? Superb pass and Junior took full advantage of it too.

Barton for me as well, with Kranjcar beside him he needed to put himself about a bit more than usual and played the roll well allowing, in the first half, Kranjcar to do his. I thought Kranjcar should have been taken off a little earlier but doesn't mean he didn't do his job.

Without Joey we would have lost the battle on the midfield. Burnley played quite physically and even if Barton could have had a yellow card (or maybe even red if the ref would have been a bit tense) so would have some of Burnley players too. Kightly was on the edge of second yellow during the first half. Anyway Barton put on some combat on the midfield which Krancjar, Benayon, Jenas and Carroll are unable to do. Maybe Henry could bit of same but he could not perform such passes that Joey did saturday......

When I saw a recording thought he was lucky not to be sent off.

    An England recall, surely?

Meanwhile he has the joint worst disciplinary record in the division, despite missing several games through injury and suspension. QPR are sitting 3rd in the fair play league, so the rest of them are very well behaved.

Regarding his disciplinary record, I know it don't excuse all his cards but he must also be the most heavily provoked player in the Championship. Mostly this season his reaction to extreme provocation makes him a candidate for the next Nobel Peace Prize.

Bartons recall to Englands team would not make england any better or worse. That team wont go further than last 16 anyway. That discipliny record just underlines the fact that our players (excluding Barton) wont fight enough on the pitch. Bartons discipliny record just shows that you cant make omelet without breaking the eggs.....

At the time, I thought, the ref was going to send him off.

Joey made a couple of very strong tackles, lucky he didnt get a yellow. Hopefully Hughes can add a bit of steel

    Krancjar MoM for me.

Some good stuff from Barton but as ever he sails way too close to the wind with his challenges and is permanently in danger of being sent off.

Hoilett got past the full back once and that resulted in a goal. Had he done that for just a small percentage of the 20-30 other times he had a run at the Burnley defence then we would have won with ease.

Barton lovers lets make one thing clear he is looking good because he is in this league. Look over how much of his game is not ranting and fouling you may get somewhere near the truth. I admire him very much for his performances for us this season and he is benefitting from confidence but Saturday I agree with my son who was at the game ... chasing shadows at times and he needs to learn how to enforce the shape ... simple fact he can't and will always need a Henry or a Faurlin to play the lead in the middle. Still anyone can change and If he goes through a few games where he doesn't stick his foot in on purpose or get annoyed with his own short comings then that will be a start

Hoilett for me as he kept on going against a very organised and resolute back line who doubled up on him every chance. Kranky class at times and by that i mean real class ... Great game

I prefer myself more like Pam Anderson lover (i wish...;)) but i do like Bartons style of play and all or nothing attitude which is what im epecting more from Krancjar etc. You wrote that Bartons looking good because he is in this league!!!!!! For goodness sake where does QPR play then? La Liga? Of course he plays in this league, isnt that just the most important thing right now? Anyway no one you Bartons haters hasnt wrote a word about his pass. Was that pass just looking good because it was just against burnley and in THIS league?
