Joey's Encouraging Stats

I know most of you won't like this but it's hard to argue with some of this. I have a feeling for us anyway in the play offs but we'll see.

Curiously he thinks Matty (Phillips?) played well and got on the scoresheet against Forest..

 

Apart from him we have an excellent disciplinary record as well......

 

I do find it amusing that Joey raves about our distribution, when he is one of the worst for giving the ball away.

Also he talks about avoiding yellow cards, but I thought there was an amnesty. When does that kick in anyone know?

All these stats are great, however, it was early season that we were keeping clean sheets. A much more accurate and honest prediction would be to look at those same stats for the 5 or 6 games prior to the play-offs, not over the season as a whole.

 

Barton is a waffler and likes the sound of his own voice. I'd take whatever he has to say with a pinch of salt.

However, he did hit on one important point. Crucial actually. And that's the fact that there's a very good vibe in and around the training ground and the squad are very optimistic. We might not do it but one thing's for certain: If you don't believe you can, you definitely won't.

Wigan are looking bloody good these days though!
