Has had to pay damages to Jeremy Vine for his comments about him, first reports said £75,000.00 later reports said a further £25,000 was paid, correction further £35,000.00 paid

According to the Daily Mail Eni Aluko and Lucy Ward is suing Barton for calling them the Fred and Rose West of Football commentary, he later changed this to comparing them to Josef Stalin and Pol Pot

Sorry but he should never had been allowed to remain at the club after this incident. I know it should be 'not guilty until proven' BUT on this occasion there was enough evidence to terminate his contract. His wife made the call to the police. When the police arrived, their body camera's recorded her injuries which supported her claim of assault. There was enough evidence for them to proceed to charge him and for him to be convicted in court DISPITE the wife withdrawing her original statement denying the assault took place. Now how often does that happen? Mason Greenwood never even got convicted and there is actual video and audio evidence of his rape and assault against his girlfriend. So what evidence the police had was extremely strong for them to have proceeded. So, if there was enough evidence then the club should have dismissed him or at least suspend him at the time. The worst decision Wael had made and my only real complaint I have towards him.
