Thought he had a shocker today. Gave the ball away for the first goal and apart from when his conscience kicked in last ten mins he was poor. SWP had a mare too. Game of 2 halves again and still no midfield - hope Diakite is better. Hulse for Zamora? Know Zamora had cramp , but Hulse - seriously ?

The sub was a bit random...and as for Joey...erm...he did the basics, but nothing special...him and SWP gave the ball away too much...

Sorry Norway I disagree, a player meant to be as good as we thought he would be, doesn't give away the ball as many times as Barton in critical areas, its so bloody annoying.

No way MOM. Wore his heart on sleeve for last ten minutes but should be doing that for ninety minutes as captain.

It seemed he was always trying to pull of the extraordinary...I was desperate for him to just play it simple at times, keep position and move up the pitch...but it always seemed to be killer through ball that he went for and didn't get.

I completely agree! It was the same with a few of the other midfielders too.

On what basis did you come up with that? Are you trying to be sarcastic? in which case how does that stack up with the evidence of AT's contribution to the team and game as a whole?

Barton was nothing special but ok. Taiwo was poor for the second game in a row.

Taiwo seems slow and labours a lot. However his vision and some his passes i thought werer very good. When Taraabt took the free kick, Taiwo was hoovering but din't seem to have the confidence to ask, although I would have said taraabt hit a belter. I think he has 'newbie' syndrome and will fit in when the rest of team accept what he can do. Thought he was a free kick expert so hope he does get a look in when his confidence is better. Have to say though, when Cisse and Zamora were on together thought we looked very good up front. Lots of movement and darting runs was looking promising.

Taarabt had 15 exceptional minutes at the end of the game and a good pass that started our move that led to Zamoras goal, that was it. Barton was the one who worked hardest for the team, very good positioning throughout, led his teammates around the pitch and was just as instrumental as Taarabt in our late push for an equaliser. Why they share it imo is only cause Taarabt pulled his socks up late on and drove the fans on.

Disagree completely. From some of the posts, I have read before, I thought that merely putting in a shift was no longer good enough to warrant a place in the team. Some of Mackie's critics spring to mind. So he tried in the last twenty minutes. So what?

I saw as much industry from SWP, but I don't think anybody is considering him a serious MOM contender either.

Did I say it was only for industry or "putting in a shift"? No.
"very good positioning throughout, led his teammates around the pitch and was just as instrumental as Taarabt in our late push for an equaliser." What a captain should be about on the pitch.
I have no need to try and justify my OPINION, as that is all my post was, an opinion.

From now on I will bow to the superior wisdom of all the negatives on here. Don't make me laugh.

Phew! Bad day, Norway? I post elsewhere and get a "Jeez, what a load of rubbish" from you. Obviously, we are supposed to let you comment on our posts, but how dare we have the audacity to disagree with one of your opinions.

You're usually a pleasure to read.

Ok Uber. Firstly, yes a real crappy day. And I won't deny it's affecting my posting, for that I'm sorry. Had a lay down for an hour after the match (can't imagine how ridicuolus my posts would have been if I didn't <whistle>). Then my four year old daughter gave me some energy back, funnily it seems she's the only one who understands me after a Rangers defeat :)

I'll come back on your original post later when I'm feeling better. But I want to try and explain my post while I'm at it on this thread. The "Jeez, what a load of rubbish" was only directed at the part that I had boxed in. First half of it was very good and easy to relate to, and I only had the Wolves game on my mind when i made my comment. We had dominated the game up until Cisse lost it, and i felt up until this happened, that what I highlighted from your post was wrong. Usually I don't slate a post without arguing why, shouldn't have done so here but I obviously needed a longer lay down before posting, I see that now.

Please, a bit harsh. My point was exactly that, I did disagree with you, you disagreed with me, with no one of us needing to justify ourselves. I actually thought Joey did very well, I see I'm alone in this, so I'm obviously not right, just my opinion ;)

Thanks for your response, Norway. All understood. I share your pain of today, believe me.

PS Apologies if a bit harsh.

Dens -agree. Bartons place in the starting eleven would be questioned if we had a replacement I'm sure. He needs to step up and realise if we are winning and have possession the other team can't score!
