I think Joey will stay for one more year, think Jose is off though. Shame we couldn't get Taylor from Swansea.

If we can Pieters from PSV I'll be far happier than Taylor from Swansea.

  10. I don't know lads. I think Pardew is as convinced as me that Enrique is far too good to let go now, and we also don't seem to be linked with any LB's. Tolouse seem firm on keeping M'beugue because they reckon PSG or Lille will offer them more money.

I think unless it's a fantastic offer, that Jose will stay for the season. Jose was awesome vs Fiorentina.

I think its more of a dig at the journalists to be honest, to be taken more tongue in cheek than matter of fact.

However I hope he is playing and starting along with Jose, I think we stand a fighting chance with those two in the starting lineup and with Arsenal's injury woes.

We've been linked with Pieters today, 23 years old I think and emerging into the dutch team.

Loving the #helmets at the end of his tweet. <laugh>

Pardew just hopes he wont be able to sort things with Liverpool, but they have the cash to agree a fee and wages. I just hope we get Pieters or someone in to replace him.

  16. I'd keep Enrique at all costs to be honest. We might as well keep him because we'll get no one that's half as good as him for less than 15m+, and if we do buy one i'll bet it will be a panic buy.

Another season of his contributions is worth more than what we'd get for him in transfer amounts, and besides, we'll not get all the cash back for a replacement.

  17. I think Liverpool or Arsenal think it would be a better idea to wait until he's on a free, then they can offer him higher wages than they would now.

It would be in the interest of all the clubs involved that Enrique stays for a season IMO

His tweets today have been having a dig at the press, and looking at the wording I reckon he's purposley made it look like that is what he is suggesting but not actually playing in the Arsenal game.

He could mean he's playing for the reserves that day!!!!

"If Joey Barton is playing v Arsenal as he just hinted, surely he's revealed team info and is heading for another fine?! #byebye120k #nufc "

It's a valid point, especially since NUFC have apparently got the players to sign a contract regarding social networks

Would tend to agree with this but IF he 100% wants to leave and we definitely 100% have a good replacement lined up I'd want him gone ASAP and the replacement brought in ASAP, I'd much rather have a new guy who wants to wear the shirt than an unsettled Jose who doesn't.

According to twitter, Jose has turned down the chance to join Liverpool because he wants to stay here because of the fans. Probably bollocks but we can live in hope!
