One of the Norwegian gooners showed me an article in the daily star abot Sunderland trying to get Campbell on loan from arsenal. Also reported on RTG, anyone heard anything?
It's just another passing rumour, I think mate. Haven't seen nothing concrete to suggest we are serious about him. Would love him here for a season.
I know that link came up in the world cup and not heard anything since myself. It would be a no from me. We've only got two domestic loans and we need to use them wisely and not fill them too early, once the season begins there'll be a few players on big money not making even making the bench. They could move permanently and take a wage cut, or they can, like they usually do, push for loans so their parent clubs can subsidise their massive wages while they play for someone else. So I can see players like Richards and Milner becoming available for loan around that time. I'd like us to have the slots free for real league experience who'll improve us massively with all the reassurance and guarantees we could ever want.
Read somewhere he`s possibly part of a swap deal for Ballotelli. Might have been the Mail so make of that what you will.
We only need them if Short being tight again. spend some money for **** sake. no other club in the prem gets more loan players than us & it's getting on a joke now like.
**** knows because I don't know who poyet wants or doesn't want. if it was up to me then I wouldn't sign any more loan players.
You'd rather have a thread bare squad that's imbalanced? We need about 7 players mate. No chance we're making 7+ permanent signings, lets be realistic. Don't know about you but I don't fancy being relegated again. I'll take the loans for now.
We shouldn't be relying on loan players sorry. we got money but short isn't spending. like I said the other day, short is happy just staying in the prem.
Generally I agree with this but not in this case. Gus only plays one central striker and we have Fletch, Jozy, and Connor. Campbell looked decent in the WC but no better than any of our current options, don;t see the point in this. We already have a young player in that position who is decent enough for the Prem in Connor, I can't think of a situation where would opt to develop another team's youngster ovver our own, given they're probably about the same level of ability? And if we need a more experienced player / CW has a drop in form we always have Fletch as Jozy as backup.
Aye if your money man stops putting money in. it's going to be a long & hard season in my eyes again. Did you enjoy Hartlepool pal? did people in the sitting bit move over to the standing bit again?
I did fella, better once the kids came on. Went straight into standing but moved to the seats behind the goal at half time as that was where the action was.
