Last few games we have really missed big Joe.

Sometimes a players absence tells you more than their presence.

If Vardy calls it a day can you imagine him being signed as a goalscoring coach to show Joelinton how to find his scoring boots in the later stages of his career....Joelinton being able to score regularly....from a Beast to a pure MONSTER of a player...

    Definately.

That and the change of formation which worked against some big clubs.

But does not against lower quality deep teams.

Joelinton is one of the best players in the league.

We need to sign a player that can step in. No point in carrying Longstaff and Willlock when Howe doesn’t trust them.

Yeah and it's an area nobody seems to think needs adding to. We simply don't have a player that can back up Joelinton.

Miley? I'm not convinced yet, but I'm sure in a year or so he'll be ready.

We need someone like Baleba. If all we’re doing is playing 5-4-1 when we lose ONE player then we’re doing something wrong.

I really can't imagine that, and I don't think anyone else was imagining that. That's actually a really weird thought. Vardy as a goalscoring coach for Joelinton? Wtf.

He would give up after a few weeks in disgust. The guy seems unable to kick a ball properly when he gets in front of goal.

    He is until he gets
Vardy at the age of 28 ( same age as Joelinton now is) suddenly figured out how to bang in enough goals in the premiership to get to within one goal of the Golden boot...the previous season he had scored 5 in 34.....Joelinton has managed 6 in 32 even when not playing as a striker so it could be argued Vardy wasnt even on Joelintons level statistically at one point....So if anyone knows how to transform from a terrible goalscoring record to an elite goalscorer at age 28 in the premiership it might be Vardy....but yeah just another 'weird' thought maybe as who would want to try anything to turn Joelinton into a goalscoring monster...maybe everyone prefers watching him play like his studs have been removed when he gets in front of goal.

Where on earth did this all come from? We transitioned Joe out of being striker, and he became one of the best midfielders in the league and one of our key players. Plus he gets more goals now than he did as as a striker...you're saying you want to transition him back to a position where he was nowhere near as good.

And for some reason we need the chav twatbag that is Jamie Vardy to achieve this bizarre plan.

You have picked the one poor PL season Vardy had, which was his first in the PL, when Leicester were struggling and compared that to one of Joelinton's best. Joelinton has shown throughout his career that he is not a natural goalscorer. We have found a role he performs well in - just leave him to do what he does best. If you want Vardy to work with anyone it would be Osula and possibly our academy players. Might as well get him to improve Nick Pope's scoring as Joelinton's.

Not sure in the post where it says anything about making Joelinton a striker...the point is more about teaching Joelinton some tips on scoring when getting an opportunity...but don't worry too much Charlie...i doubt Vardy will be rocking up any time soon...which might explain why i said 'imagine'...

Its perplexing how skillful he is until he gets in front of goal....maybe a confidence issue?

I think its about composure. He doesn't demonstrate a lot of it in his general play and its a vital ingredient with the ball at your feet in front of goal.

Thing is to me he doesnt seem to fall over all the time or hit the ball wildly unless he's in front of goal...but maybe he does and i don't notice it as much

Him being anywhere near us would associate us with his horrible wife too.

Joelinton's scoring has been decent for a midfielder.

Thats also quite perplexing how sometimes he seems fine in front of goal and can score goals like the one against Milan...

Strong on headers too, honestly I think his finishing has significantly improved in the last few years. Plus his focus isn't goal scoring now anyway. Our goalscoring issue towards the end was Isak going off the boil after being injured slightly.
