Hi Guys, palace fan here in peace. Just wanted to drop in and say a massive thanks for Joel Ward I know its ****ty losing your best players when in admin, palace has been there a few times. On Ward, I cant praise him enough, he is imo the best right back in the premier league bar Zabaleta, I just havent seen one player get the better on him, he's so quick and strong and wins every single header or tackle, I remember us playing Chelsea away and Harzard kept trying to go past him but couldnt and in the 2nd half he didnt even bother any more. Imo he could play for any team in the premiership and we'll have a real fight keeping hold of him. Anyway I hope you can gets yourself back up the leagues, we certaintly owe you one.
being a local lad......he holds high esteem with all of us.....especially as he grabbed the equaliser against that rabble up the road in our last meeting dont know why, but I always look out for your results......looks like your safe, so well done and glad to hear that JW has settled in so well to prem life
Never wanted to lose him. Was always good in any position he played, and highly consistant and reliable. Good to hear he's doing well in the Premier League, always though he would.
Looking him up today because of this thread. When this article, which is saying he has an out-side bet of being in England's world cup squad, was written: http://metro.co.uk/2014/02/26/joel-...ontender-for-england-world-cup-place-4317177/ Joel Ward was the Premier League's most successful tackler and 6th most successful in stopping opponents trying to get past him.
He certainly was a good young player when he was here, always giving the appearance of having a great chance of making the grade. Delighted for the lad that he has done so well since joining Palace. On another point, Tony Pulis has done a remarkable job in keeping Palace up this season - even getting them up to mid-table safety. He should be runner up to Brendan Rogers as Premier League manager of the season, to my mind
Palace fan back again Just to say he did you guys proud yesterday, he was getting so much stick from the Southampton supporters but he played absolutely fantastically, set up the third goal and he did a tremendous tackle on Shane Long who had to go off injured and then he blew a kiss to the saints fans.
A really good player and I have to say although gutted we had to let him and a fair few other youngsters go (Begovic, Ritchie, Pearce, Pack, Ciftci) I'm glad that he's at a club where the fans really back the team with tremendous noise, and your result yesterday got one of the biggst cheers at FP.
Haha, what a legend. He was probably my favourite player at the time. We had some good players then, Henderson, Huskelep, Ward.... Some less good ones like Lawrence, Tal-Heim, Kitson, etc. Come back Steve, all is forgiven!!!!
