Apparently we're on the verge of signing Joel Pohjanpalo, an 18 year old striker with a fantastic goal scoring record...... in finland

not sure when we just bought Yesil and we have Morgan as well in terms of that young talent? Don't we have a South Korean on trial as well?

19 goals in 34 games is a very good record. It is in Finland which isn't the greatest league but it's still a good record.

He also scored a goal against Athletic Bilbao in the Europa League play-off round earlier in the season.

It's clear we need a goalscorer now but there is nothing wrong with the club investing in a player which they feel has some potential.

And for your viewing pleasure, here is Pohjanpalo scoring the 'Perfect hat-trick' for HJK Helsinki... In under 3 minutes!

Nothing wrong with adding these kids to the ranks, we are going to have to get him a nickname though.

2nd goal was good instinct... that 3rd one was a defensive.. they sootd off him, let him choose a foot and let him pick a spot... keeper was no better either

Worth pointing out that the video above was from his first start for HJK Helsinki.

Not a bad way to mark your first senior start...

One off each foot and a well directed header, he'll never fit in!

For £1 million? And I assume peanuts wage wise? No brainer.

All these silly haircuts are getting a bit much though.

Silly hair fits right in. Borini, Sterling, Yesil.

Suso is a perfect example of how a young player should present themselves. No ego or comedy. Just simple, neat and worn with bridge.

Finnish players usually have a good record at Liverpool. Big Sami was a legend and Jari Litmanen was very good, IMO. If he he can do half as good as those boys then £1 million is an absolute snip! <ok>

Maybe we are playing with the law of averages. Buy enough potentially talented young strikers and hope that at least one will make it.

Sounds about right, no way will all our youth make it; Borini, Morgan, Yesil, Ngoo - from just the strikers alone. Add a 5th and perhaps one or two might make it.

Borini mentioned because he's still young and not performed yet. Plenty of time for him though.

That sounds like some thing Camolli would say.

    Wouldn't Comolli be more:

Comolli: Kid looks good. How much? A million pounds you say?
Agent: Well we can haggle over the price.
Comolli: 10 million, then, and not a penny more!
Agent: most people try to haggle the price down!
Comolli: Right, 20 million. You're a shrewd one, I'll give you that. Everybody's happy!

That's always how i'd pictured him negotiating, anyway. <ok> Like this guy from Harry Enfield:

We haven't tried the buying good players strategy yet. We might try it out in future, and it just might be crazy enough to work.
