QPR confirm signing of Joel Lynch The defender has signed a three-year deal Rangers agreed an undisclosed fee with Huddersfield Town for the 28-year-old QPR have completed the signing of defender Joel Lynch from Huddersfield Town. Widely-regarded as one of the most consistent centre-backs in the Championship last term, the 28 year-old has agreed a three-year deal at Loftus Road, tying him to the club until the summer of 2019. Lynch, who has one Welsh international cap to his name, moves to W12 after Rangers agreed an undisclosed fee with Huddersfield for his services. R’s boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has welcomed the arrival of the left-sided centre-half, commenting: “I’m delighted Joel has joined us and can’t wait to welcome him into the squad. “He’s a high calibre centre-half at this level and offers us something a little bit different to the other central defenders we’ve already got. “He’s left-sided, which will give us better balance, and has that ability to bring the ball out from the back and play, which will hopefully allow us to control the game from a deeper position.” image: http://www.qpr.co.uk/cms_images/player/joel-lynch-signs-61364-3160547.jpg please log in to view this image SIGNS: Joel Lynch pens a 3-year deal at Loftus Road Lynch, who joined Huddersfield in 2012, impressed while playing in a 4-2-3-1 system last season. So if he plays on the left, Grant moves to the right rather than play him with Ned. So is Ned our new right back, or is Ned the spare part. Anyway Joe really does seem the right sort...Very pleased. Nice strong defence... I will shut up about "defenders" now
I'm hoping Onouha is the spare part to be honest Beth. He's not a RB in a million years. You have to be able to get forward and support the attack and he can't do that unfortunately. Be interesting to see if Furlong or Kwapeka get a look in
Very happy with this signing - took a while to get it over the line, but he's a good player and should be nice and solid at the back with Hall.
Right sort indeed. Less than 30 with good experience. Do we think Rueben / Tony building for promotion push again?
Ok who's next a striker? Or attacking midfielder, I reckon a winger but not a clue who unless the Metz guy changes his mind.
