Very sorry to hear this - a fantastic goal machine for the mighty Celts in his day. RIP.

Shame, never know him but apparently a gent. Goodbye Joe.

Must have been a sore one to be part of the greatest Celtic sqaud and a key member too but to have missed the game that made them the legends they are.

Everybit the goal machine Mark Wilson was in season 2010/11.

    54 goals in 55 games.

Only missed the last two European games in 67 as he was injured/recovering.

If my dad's to be believed, he was better than Willie Wallace <ok>

    OMG! RIP!

My thoughts are with his friends, family and the Celtic family who are sure to be united in grief.

A fine QC and lawyer, son and brother, botter, lover and boyfriend <ok>

    God bless.

I met Joe at a function at CP. He sat with our table for about half an hour and kept us enthralled with his stories and jokes. A true gentleman.

    RIP Joe.

Joe was one of football's real gentleman. I remember him running from his own pen area on one of the heaviest wettest pitches
in Scotland and scoring. In 66/67 season he scored 27 goals but injured his knee before Christmas, tried to make a come back
in the next season but Jock Stein felt he had lost a bit of pace and moved him on.

I didn't realise he was such a journeyman of a player.
