Mason had a very good game and he isn't afraid of taking people on. The whole team played brilliantly I thought and defended from the front and attacked from the back. There were 11 players back in the penalty bok for the Wurzels free kicks and corners even though they left 2 defenders back. For me however the man of the match was Gerrard who won everyting in the air and put in a robust and solid performance. Brighton will play better than Bristol but if we play as a team the way we have in the first two matched I think we will have three wins out of three.

Cowie is a very consistent player and never stops running throughout the match.

He was probably MM's favourite.

BTW Does Malky still maintain his habit of keeping everyone back when defending corners?

He did with us which upset a lot of fans as it often meant we couldn't counter attack.

Looked that way yesterday Markthehorn. When we had eleven in the box Bristol only had eight so the law of averages meant we came off best. Agree with you on the counter attack but I think this is less important than possibly conceding a goal. Good luck to the Hornets for the season (except when you play us of course!)

Man of the Match.

Superb performance. Class act. Looks a bargain.

Can also see why Malky got Cowie in. Full of running.

Passing and movement from our midfield superb.

Tactically what a change from last year. Lose a defensive midfielder and switch Mason into a role just behind the front 2.

Well done Malky and the team.

Wednesday will be much tougher. But with Malky in charge , maybe Bellamy and 1 or 2 new faces and maybe we will reach the play offs again.

Still refreshing to see the team working so hard and pressing the opposition into making mistakes.

Bristol City were poor but I still thought they were better than last season. Bottom 8 side but probably have enough to beat the drop.

Totally agreed! Whitts seems like a changed man as well...full of running. Mason reminded me of Messi with his running at the defence and laying off balls for other players. If only he can add Messi's goal tally!!
