    Man of the Match.

Superb performance. Class act. Looks a bargain.

Can also see why Malky got Cowie in. Full of running.

Passing and movement from our midfield superb.

Tactically what a change from last year. Lose a defensive midfielder and switch Mason into a role just behind the front 2.

Well done Malky and the team.

Wednesday will be much tougher. But with Malky in charge , maybe Bellamy and 1 or 2 new faces and maybe we will reach the play offs again.

Still refreshing to see the team working so hard and pressing the opposition into making mistakes.

Bristol City were poor but I still thought they were better than last season. Bottom 8 side but probably have enough to beat the drop.

i wasnt at the match so i cant comment on the performance.

however one thing i'd say is that last week the result was much better than the performance, and by the looks of it bristol are not that good so we shouldnt get carried away.

excellent start to the season though, especially as half the team werent here last season <cheers>

Mason is a young genius. I reckon we'll lose him unless we go up.

Great display of everyone working on the pitch again, Mason Cowie and Conway all look like great signings.
Whereever the ball was on the pitch the players in that area reacted, lovely to see.
All you can ever ask is for the players to give the best they can, finally we are seeing that and it warms the cockles of my heart.
Not going to win every game I know, but defeat when it comes might be easier to swallow when you know the lads have played 100%.

As Hilts said, Bristol are a struggling team but that doesn't detract from the performance our guys gave, you still have to win these games , they don't give them to you.

Thought Cowie covered every blade of grass and chased everything also thought Whits had a very good game seems to get stuck in more and on the evidence of the past 2 games and when he preforms as such City seem a lot better for it, Mason did have a very good game but i think he is still learning and a little raw which was evident from some of his decision of passes in the final third although he looked good when he had a go himself seemed to tire a little towards the end which is not surprising as he ran his socks off. Marshall had another very good game as did Macnugget, Earnie and Taylor, Hudson is beginning to look the real deal and Gerrad battles and is an able last line of defence and looks difficult to beat albeit the back line lacks a little pace but has guile and skill on abundance and looks a solid unit something lacking last season ,it seemed Bristol had a plan to snuff out the Miller goal threat but this came at a cost and gave the rest of City's attacking options the opportunity to run riot although Miller still looked on occasions very deadly , Conway also had a good game and have to agree with some of the posters on here unlike Burke he struggles to beat his man but lays some class crosses for the forward unit and Conway and Whitts are well capable of supplying the ammunition for the forwards and are a real threat

Didn't see the game but another good result. I can only see us getting better as the guys get more game time together. Not going to get carried away and there will be a lot of ups and downs along the way. With McPhail nearing fitness and the other additions We're nearing a squad rather than just a team as well. Still concerned that we don't have cover out wide.

A big positiv for me is the fact that in 3 games we've scored 7 goals from 6 different players. Good to see both first choice strikers off the mark.

I really hope we keep young mason but to assume that we'll keep him is naive. If he does brilliantly and we don't go up then he only has a year left on his contract. . . Sell or let him go on a free a year later? a bit early to be looking at the dark side as I'm an optimist.

The players we have all signed contracts and unless we decide to sell they will not be going anywhere. Malkay has something that players like, everyone is getting a chance and the team spirit is really good now.

Only the teams with 6 points are happy lol.

If we can get a 46 game winning run we will get promoted.

I said before on the poll "which new signing will have the biggest impact" that it would be Mason. I had heard great things about him before he joined us and was looking forward to seeing him at Plymouth (where I'll be in uni next year). Glad he's at Cardiff though.

I think he's going to be top class. I just worry that he may be so good that we're made a can't refuse offer. I think we should play him down. Yeah, very disappointed with the boy. Send him back.

    Come on Glam...cheer up ;)

Would you rather he played badly so nobody was interested in him! :emoticon-0110-tongu

I agree that i do not think we have to sell anymore.

Great start, but will wait until 10 matches have gone before judging how we are doing :)

I follow you GLAM, and I agree with you. It was probably a flash in the pan. I don't think the boy is anywhere near as good as he is rated. Needs a couple of years in lower divisions before he will be Prem material IMO.

I thought Cowie worked so hard yesterday and was my Man of the Match, though could have picked any one. The thing that pleased me most was the way Hudson & Gerrard are doing so well together. Must admit I had K9 in front of Gerrard but he's proved me wrong so far.

Interesting takes and a good read from my point of view as I was at a Wedding and couldn't make the game <cry> What I'm getting with so many fans having different players down as MOM, well it must have been a good all round team performance. The hotel where the wedding was had free Wi-Fi, so managed to keep in touch with most of the game..............and the Best Man announced the result and the scorers in his speech <ok>

Surreal moment, there were a contingent there from Leeds, good crowd, and down for a long weekend, when the Cardiff result was announced, they cheered the loudest and longest (I was on pain of death, on my best behaviour ;) )

Slightly bemused, I thought Leed's fans cheering a Cardiff result, this was taking polite behaviour and diplomacy to the extreme, so I had to ask...............they explained that it was a result, which kept Leeds off the bottom, I didn't laugh (much) <ok>

Definately Proph. It was a fantastic team performance and can still get better but credit where it's due...we couldn't have done it without David James View attachment 6517
