Does Joe Martin deserve a new deal in the summer? Both Adam Chicksen and Bradley Garmston proved to be more effective going forward than Martin however he was probably our only consistent player in the first 3 months of the season under Taylor (barring Bywater). Now he's coming up to 200 appearances in a blue shirt should we keep him?

I personally would give him another year, Chicksen and Garmston have showed that there are good young left backs out there, but at the same time he's definitely not the worst left back in this league or that we've seen in a blue shirt over the last 10 years. His free kick ability probably also needs to be taken into consideration too.

I felt Joe Martin started to improve under Martin Allen and he has certainly proven capable in our previous lack of a decent winger. Do i see any negatives on another 12 months, not really, we need the experience in a difficult position to find a decent replacement at minimal cost.

Martin should get another year unless Edinburgh knows a good left back who is available.
while we are talking about contracts lets hope Cody is sorted out soon.We know he enjoys playing at Gills so a decent 2 year deal should seal the deal. We must also sign Egan on a longer deal as the player of the season will have a lot of championship clubs interested in his services. If under a longer contract the transfer fee would be a lot bigger. Hopefully we can keep Marquis as well.

Its a tough one for me. It is a position we could defiantly looking at improving but we could do a lot worse than offer Joe a 1 year extension. I think we should look at signing someone else to compete for Joe's position and then maybe we will get the best out of him.
The full back position are the positions I would say we are weakest in and I hope we have a look at improving them in the summer.
