Tbh I think most people had assumed he was dead before Ashley unearthed him in 2008.

A good manager for Wimbledon, but an embarrassing clown for us.

Manager - 4 wins in 18 games, swearing rampages to the press and constantly embarrassing interviews.

Director of football - brought in one guy on loan who we were already in talks with, insulted players and former plays and got kicked out when he let Cabaye go for peanuts.

He was dogshit for us in both roles, his legacy will be at Wimbledon as manager and Spurs as a player, but let's not pretend he was anything other than a walking disaster for us.

Nobody did well under Mike Ashley and that was a really bad time even by Ashley standards.. would probably have kept us up before the health problem.

    RIP

As I said, his legacy is at Wimbledon and Spurs, not with us.

He's not wrong though is he?

I don't dislike Joke Kebab but he was the face of a disasterous time for us as a club. The weakening of the team and lowering of standards as a club was remarkably fast from the moment he walked into the club but I feel he was a symptom of Ashley giving up on the club rather than a cause.

We've just lost my father-in-law through dementia earlier this year and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Kinnear will be fondly remembered for the successes he had in football and his overall demeanor and attitude within the game. There was nothing positive to recount from his time with us though so I will not be fondly reminiscing upon it.

ps. would add though that I think the money we got for Cabaye was alright in the circumstances - wasn't it £25m+ for a wantaway player?

He was a human. God rest his soul.

He did his best. Wasn’t good enough.

But as a person and with respect to his family. Rest in peace.

We don’t have to like the man. But we have to respect him as a person.

He was a pretty poor manager, but I didn't think we were going down under him. Shearer was a ****ing disaster in comparison.

His spell as DOF is one of the worst times in Newcastle history.

The **** Pardew put up with at Newcastle, he doesn't get enough respect from us to be honest.

I'm sure his kids are sad, for that RIP

He had apparently been diagnosed with dementia in 2015. So, when he was our DOF he probably had onset and was losing his marbles

Rest in Peace. Footballs just a game, dementia isn’t.
