    They were listing his responibilities on SSN earlier, then they mentioned Llambias(?) the MD, and how he is responsible for the finances. I honestly can't see what Pardew will be responsible for apart from sitting on the touchline.

    I hope Ashley has Pardew's consent for this, he's on one beast of a contract, and there is such a thing as constructive dismissal...

    I'd be livid if I were a Newcastle fan right now.

    I'd assume he'd already have a clause in his contract about being paid off, I can't see anyone getting that big a contract without some sort of protection for the club.

    Can't see him staying for zero job satisfaction.

    What's the point in a director of football? A manager knows what needs improving and who doesn't make the grade so why employ somebody to hire players? Completely pointless job role imo
