Dear Joe, I offer my sincere condolences on Scotland getting knocked out of........................... #cheatingprick
It will stay with me for the rest of my life. If ever there should be retrospective cards this was one time. we got so close and they made such a ****up of their time in the finals. Lost to all sorts as I recall.
Yep - they lost 1-3, and only drew with Iran 1-1. Although they did beat Holland 3-2 - but didn't get out of their Group. So much for Ally's ferking Army Add to that Willie Johnson sent home for failing a dope test.... Karma eh!
Still bugs me.Sold up the river by the Welsh FA. We had to play the game,if I recall correctly,at least 200 miles from Cardiff or behind closed doors due to the problems at the Yugoslavia game in Cardiff. The Welsh FA chose Anfield. As far as I am concerned for the money.Easy for the mouthy sweaties to get to. Should have played it behind closed doors. Just my opinion. Interested to know yours chaps.
Following crowd trouble in Cardiff during Wales' game with Yugoslavia the previous year, staging the game at Ninian Park was out of the question. In their infinite wisdom, the Football Association of Wales decided to stage the crucial match at Liverpool's Anfield ground rather than in Wrexham in order to secure more money from a larger crowd - and a full house is exactly what they got - but unfortunately for the Welsh, the Tartan Army had travelled down in force. The Kop was supposed to be for "home"/Welsh fans. When we got in, there were Jocks everywhere. Seemed that one half of the Kop ended up being Scottish and the other half Welsh. Watched the second half with one hand shielding my face as bottles were regularly being lobbed from the Scottish half. If the FAW were chasing the biggest payday they should have tried to use Cardiff Arms Park. Otherwise, it should have been the Racecourse - bloody hell, Villa Park or Ashton Gate would have made more bloody sense....
Taff,as I posted I believe we had to play the game more than 200 miles? from Cardiff.FIFA ruling after the crowd trouble v Yugo.

He should never have been awarded the game.
