Joe Hart didnt have much to do in the Everton game but will someone tell me I am not going crazy and let me knwo if they think he should have saved Evertons goal? Dont get me wrong, Lukaku shouldnt be able to get that sort of chance and the fault will fall with the defence I am sure but at the point where he takes his finish the shot isnt that well struck and is only a yard or so to the side of Hart who get a good hand on the ball only for it to go in. He really isnt the best goal keeper at the moment and it is frusttrating that England have to stick with him ebcause Hodgson hasnt played other goalkeepers in friendlies. I know we would all like to see Ruddy playing for England but I really rate Forster and would happily see him get a run out in a few friendlies. I really wish that we would choose players on form more often.
As mistake prone Joe Hart is, or is seen to be, John Ruddy sadly is not yet ready so I am happy to see him not representing England, as to do so now, could/perhaps would, damage his long term prospects for the National Team. Let Foz play and make some errors, then get Ruddy in the frame once he back to his best
Hart needs to strength his wrist or something! He is getting his hands to most shots but they just bounce off him and into the net.
tbh OP - I am not sure if he was at fault today or not. I don't expect a keeper to save everything and would probably put this one down to 'one of those things'
On the topic of 'keepers, it sounds like Rudd is having a day to forget, completely to blame for two goals apparently.
I do rate Forster, don't get me wrong, but I feel Ruddy has been unfairly ignored because Forster has had a good 90 minutes against Barcelona. Ruddy has been consistent in the Prem for 2 seasons (although he did have a big injury) and rarely makes mistakes.
