Joe Edwards has left the Gate to play for Yeovil Town for an undisclosed fee.

I thought he was highly regarded, so are you sure it's not a loan?

I was always quite fond of him, and even though he wasn't a local lab I was hoping to see an academy product in the first team.

All the best to him with GJ at Yeovil.

Never been on a losing side for us, Surely we should of played him to the end of the season, We would of stayed up <whistle>

Gutted we've lost him though. Was impressed when I seen him play.

Joe Edwards departure without ever being given a real chance for Bristol City MUST be the last Academy boy to ever leave us under these circumstances.
If Academy boys are not good enough, then fine, but Joe appeared to have to right attributes as a footballer and did deserve a decent run of games in our First team.
I expect him to have a good career and we may, unfortunately, be able to see at first hand next season if he was good enough for us.

I have been impressed with him on the few occasions he has played. Bit concerning that SoD has let him leave without fully seen what he is like. Makes you wonder if he has an attitude problem as the previous 2 managers tried him then sent him out on loan.

As I said, I think this deal was almost certain when McInnes was here. I except the board told SoD that he would be leaving regardless. Couldn't imagine him selling him without seeing him properly.
