Joe is having a cracking season, long May that continue. Our other Bristol lad Bobby Reid is also going well. Fantastic to see them showing consistent form.
I honestly believe Taylor has more to his game Rod. I also believe that Steele is a better keeper than Fielding. However the boys are being kept out by players that are playing well at present.
I agree with your thinking but Jnr has been all over the TV, Radio and Papers this last fortnight blowing off about his successes, I have to admit all deserved but how do you keep Bristol City FC success under the radar when the manager collects all of his plaudits so publicly after all he is our news.
Joe has been a revelation this season , if he maintains this standard wouldn't be suprised to see him go , if not Jan then end of the season at the latest to a prem team, no amount of trying to stay under the radar will stop this , and why should it ? , good luck to the lad .
It's nice to see praise from you, but you said we ought to haven gotten rid if both of them last season. Are you big enough to admit that was hasty?
Nick last season both were poor,as had been in seasons previous. This season they are different players. Both deserve their places at present. On this season form I want them part of the squad.
Probably down to increasing experience and maturity mixed with a tad of confidence! I know its an open ended question, but wonder how many others may have made it if they were given just that little bit longer?!!
Yes that's annoying - I suspect he is trying to counter all the tirade of (mostly justifiable) criticism he received last season, with some trumpet-blowing of his own now things are going well. It's a human thing to want to do I suppose.
So no, you're not big enough a person. You say you want them to be part of the squad this season, but if the club did what you said before they wouldn't be here now. You're the type of fan who wants people shipped out the minute you don't rate them and have them replaced - either not mentioning who with at all or with highly unrealistic suggestions & little to no regard to the money involved (all whilst bemoaning how money has ruined football). I don't understand why you are so afraid to admit you made a mistake - it doesn't make you lesser in any way; in fact, more people would likely give you credit for showing some humility. So, to be clear, can you admit these two points: 1. You said before we should sell both Bryan and Reid. 2. We are stronger today for keeping them around. ...just a simple yes would be lovely and I'd reward you with a hand clap smiley.
No was not hasty on seasons previous as said,Can we all agree did any of us expect Bobby Reid to come good this season, and Joe Bryan to show a different level. Matty Taylor would have been given the spot if he had been fit at the season's start. Joe Bryan has been very consistent this season,in-fact hardly put a foot wrong. So on that basis I'm very happy they are still here doing well. Also glad they were not sold.
