The £10m price tag seems to high for Premier clubs, Burnley, Fulham and B/mouth have all lost interest, that leaves just M/boro or Leeds showing interest according to reports, surely we wouldn't sell JB to another Championship contender as well as Flint would we? The problem is he is in the last year of his contract and is resisting signing a new one, even though LJ made him club captain whilst in Spain, it seems like a cut price to any bidder or we gain a year and lose all value. Make him an offer he can't refuse, you never know there might be a suprise contender like Everton. http://the72.co.uk/110275/middlesbrough-leeds-left-battle-demand-championship-defender/
I’m not surprised interest faded , whilst he was good before Christmas, his form after Christmas, in my opinion was at times poor. At his best he’s a very good player and has many good attributes, however he lacks consistency, and at times appears lazy at best , ambling Back rather than busting a gut to get back into position. If he wants to reach his true potential he needs to forget the hype around himself and knuckle down to raising his game to a consistent level. My opinion, I’m sure others will disagree.
He is becoming a mirror image of so many others of his age and position by basically holding his current employer to ransom, and that's rarely a good thing. I hope he is reading about the exploits of some previous City players, like Maynard and Kodjia, which might make him think again at how lucky he is to be employed by Bristol City. So many dreams have died within this young group looking at Premiership stardom, and if only they had the sense to stay put perhaps they would still be beating a path to a lesser success.
Bryan has attributes not always associated with footballers of any era. He comes from a fairly well off family, his Father is a Doctor (I believe) and he's mature, intelligent and considered when I've seem him interviewed. So maybe the only thing stopping him from stepping up a level is some self belief ?
