I only caught the last 10mins and motd, so with our strikeforce being what it is, I didn't get the whole show.

How did Joe Allen do? I didn't get a chance to see how the game unwound. If we can get a good footballer in the 1st team, it can only benefit us.

In fairness that's an improvement on last season though.

 

Pretty spot on that! Bit headless in the first half, better in the second, I'm a big fan of the lad, he can do better and thankfully up'd his game in the second!

it was a game of 2 halves by all our players.

first half ****e and lucky we went in 1 up ht as that flattered us to be fair, draw would have been fairer, but take it as we have been there.

2nd half was better.

raheem made a dif though when he came on, first teamer or another fairclough in the making?

At home, I think we should be playing Coutinho instead of Allen. And vice versa for away games.

 

The whole midfield suffered from a poor system in the first half. Allen is on the up. Allen has the technique. He just needs to continue building the confidence and ambition.

 

Aye, but to get more confidence he needs games, and he isn't going to do that regularly unless someone gets injured.

And to roll out the cliches, we rode our luck and took our chances in the game yesterday, Hopefully Suarez limping isn't too serious. We have a couple of weeks for him to get better. Onwards and upwards I guess.
