Right, after applying for various jobs over the internet, I have for whatever reason not got those jobs. I have however signed up for job alerts. When I have recieved news of any new posts, they then go on to say that I am not allowed to apply within six months of the last application. Does anyone know why?

Usually as simple as a company that felt you were unqualified to do a job at a certain point, feels that 6 months is the minimum time required for you to gain additional skills & knowledge.

What kind of work are you looking for?

Just customer service type, so not exactly requiring great qualifications etc.

Its just that when I withdrawn applications, why do they feel the need to send me info regarding new positions. I know its an automated service, but they could still be allowing potentially valuble workers to slip through the net.

Your best bet mate, as always, is to approach individual agencies rather than a 'job search' site.

This way, you have one person dealing with you, and that person is likely to be on commission if they place you in a job.

Also, think of companies you wouldn't mind working for, and look at the careers section of their website.

Many companies don't need to use agencies, and as an employer, they'll often like the fact that you 'looked for them' rather than 'looked for work'
