I've always been of the belief that home-made bongs are the best - I'm not really into the ones folk have out of shops and the 4ft, 4 pipe things are just ridiculous.

For the world's best bong, you will need:

1 of those plastic bottles of juice off the van (used to be about 15p - probably about 40p now)
A permanent marker (insides removed)
A ballpoint pen (inside's removed)
Some masking tape and
Some tin foil.

Taaaa-rrraaaaa <ok>

Growing up in France we used to go to a bamboo forest nearby and get some dry bamboo, make the main tube and the bowl tube out of bamboo, bit of wax to hold it together and cut the end off a used metal marker pen for a bowl. <eco-friendlyhippybong>

I miss being a teenager :(

We used to know all the old hippies in the area, so every autumn they're be incredible amounts of cheap outdoor weed about, and in France it's sunny enough to work. Used to get a shopping-bag full for about €100, in this ****ty country you'd be lucky to get an oz of ****ty thai stick for that :(

Never been a fan of shishas, don't like the ****ty pipe thing you smoke out of, and the smoke isn't that thick either.

Bongs all the way, had to quit them last year, was getting a bit silly...

There's no chance of growing outdoor stuff in Scotland, but it's the best way to start. If you've got the money to invest in all the equipment then go for it, there's all the information you need on the internet <ok>

It's not as bad up here as you think <laugh> i know a few people that have grown outdoors (obviously as long as they pick the right time of the year)

I'd be growing indoors anyway and getting a hold of equipment wouldn't be much of a problem.

On a similar type, take the insides out of a highlighter pen, cut a square on the flat bit near the top and tape some tight gauze over the hole - my teenage pipe <ok>

I just smoke normal joints these days - I used to slavishly stick to the three skins as well (unless building a massive carrot for show) but now I use Highlanders (if you don't get these in England, they're the best skins going - even just for the ****e they print on the roaches).

Go for it then <ok>

As long as you know basic chemistry/biology stuff (PH levels, plant cycles,...) and you're not a lazy **** when it comes to looking after it then you're sorted. One of my best mates had a wardrobe fitted in his room for it, the **** gets bout 800g every 3 months, and he's been doing it for nearly 15 years now so he's pretty good at it...

Problem with using plastic pens is that they tend to melt if you go for a few in a row, I remember using plastic bottles and biros at school and the biro would often end up all melted <supercancer>

When I'm on my own I generally stick to one-skins, can't afford to smoke like I used to and I tend to actually get stuff done now <yikes>
