just saw a rumour on teamtalk.com rumour page of Michael Johnson and Jo coming from man city in the summer for a supposive 7 million. this has come from a youth team coach apparantly

would anyone be happy with this? Jo scored a hat full in Russia and Johnson looked impressive before his injury

I think if the money is correct then they wouldn't be bad signings but would be squad players at best. A marquee signing is needed to galvanise the squad and show some ambition after that blokey leaving in January.

Johnson's pretty good like, decent potential. If Ireland doesnt hit form for us then I wouldnt mind signing Johnson, if Ireland does step up and we sign him then Johnson would be unnecessary. Jo isnt better than Best IMO, was good at Everton but never really looks like PL standard.

    Johnson wouldn't improve our midfield.

Jo could be alright but he's never seemed prolific. I think we could do better with the money thst should be available.

Although he would add to the hair do's of NUFC.

I'd like to see somebody a bit more dynamic than Johnson and Jo but I suppse it's all down to how much the Pieman is going to give AP and who AP feels would give the best VFM.

I'd prefer the Joe instead of Jo.

Which on of you is Jo? You're a ****!

Don't think Jo would offer much more than those we have at the moment, and I'm guessing he's on big money at City (who isn't).

Johnson two years ago yes, he looked class. Had he played in the past 18 months? Last I heard he was struggling with injuries and alcohol problems. I don't think he'd add anything to our midfield. Especially when he have Gosling to come back for next season.

Johnson - Maybe.. depending if we sell Smith and loan one or two of our younger CM's/AM's(Vuckic, Inman, Richardson, etc..) but I doubt we'll need him next season.
Jo - Depending, but he's not a world beater and not exactly top-class but I have a GOOD feeling that he might work very effectively with our skillful and technically adept players such as Ben Arfa, Jonas, Enrique, Ireland(Man City form), Tiote and Barton... All depends on transfer fee and wages.

Both ****, definitley not. Johnson seems to be injured quite a lot, don't need another perma-crocked player if we have gosling/ireland already.

i think johson is a goos player, but a not playrr we need at present. We already got about 40 central midfielders at the club. Whatwe're needing is wide men that can opoen up defence with pace and movement. Also in a striker we'be already got 3 fairly lanky players in shola, best and ranger!! What we really need is a player with pace up there who can get defenders out of position, exact'y like bellamy used todo. And no i don't want him back but you get my drift!!

We don't need another CM, even with Smith probably going at the end of the season.

Johnson is constantly injured, looked to have great potential but that's no good if you're not on the pitch!

Don't see the problem with either.

Jo looked good at Everton and i was annoyed we didnt look into getting him in January, he hasnt had a run of games to show his stuff so not sure how you can call him ****,

Johnson looked good in the Sven days of City and would take him ahead of Guthrie and Smith anyday.
