No, not today. I saw that result coming.. Have any poster's here realised that if some stat is produced, you can bet that somehow we at QPR will beat it. I give the example of john jensen scoring his only goal for Arsenal. Against who? Yup, QPR. To give a minor example, whenever I hear something like " that team has never won at loftus rd since 1952" I just know we will lose. Any more examples of freak stats involving the hoops? I noticed that today was west broms first win in London for 11 years or so (?) I bet there are plenty other examples. List below!
I was at that game when Jensen scored, you're right though it doesn't matter the stat it's always us its the rangers way I'm afraid and I've learned to live with it Still it was a decent day out bar the result
I heard this stat on the radio on the way to the game this afternoon. I had already decided that we would lose 2-0 today, or yesterday, whatever. I couldn't even be bothered to post it on the prediction board, I'm past caring about that. So after getting home tonight I did think about posting a similar thread, but decided against it due to the its negative undertones. Anyway, it's here now.... so I give you... We haven't lost at home to Swansea for 87 years!!!! ..... Until Sparky's mercenaries squared up to them on the 18th of August 2012. The Mayan prophecy only applies to QPR.
I remember them winning at the emirates two years ago (2-3). http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/eng_prem/9024632.stm Know what you mean though, remember Swindon's first win in the 93/94 season? Of course against us after going winless in fifteen. Guess what, we beat their record this year. Only at QPR. Sorry if I took something away from your point there.
Also, I was once told that if a player is making a debut against us, he usually scores.! I'll have to check that out but certainly seems likey from memory !
Didn't Lloyd doyley score his first ever goal in something like 54 years in the ill fated Watford defeat?
Today was the first time in premier league history that 3 separate Spanish players in the same team have scored. Against who?.... QPR.
So is this the reason "When Harry Morris turfed a band of gypsies off a piece of derelict land in Bordesley Green, he did not realise the consequences would be far-reaching and devastating. The gypsy curse spat out in 1906 has stayed with Birmingham City to this day: the litany of bad luck is woven into the club's very fabric. (2006)Today marks the centenary of the first game played on that piece of regenerated land; by common consent, today's match against Queens Park Rangers should also mark the lifting of the 100-year curse on St Andrew's. At last Birmingham can join the rest of the footballing world on a level playing pitch. They plan to celebrate in style." They did they beat as 2-1, but did we pick up the curse
There you go! In some way we even managed to get involved in other teams curses. Just to be sure we could a priest, rabbi, imam and a few more of various faiths to give the pitch a once over.
