Saddened to hear about the passing of Jimmy Hill. He was always a bit of a controversial figure and I often thought of him as a bit of an odd man, but looking back over his life, he achieved so much for football and was a real innovator in his day. One memory I have of Jimmy Hill was seeing him from the away end, climbing down the ladder from the temporary studio erected at Upton Park for MOTD. The fans were singing 'Jimmy, show us yer chin, Jimmy, Jimmy show us yer chin' and he duly obliged, stopping half way down to stroke his chin. I always thought from that moment that he was a man who didn't really care about the fun that was poked at him You could say, he took it on the chin ... RIP Jimmy Hill
