I believe that the question is more about Hess than it is J Dack (Jack?). Hess said that the only thing that brought him back to the club was Taylor and whilst he has stuck to his contract, I believe that he fell out of love with the club (at least in a working role) after he was last sacked. If Jed has to have a replacement for assistant manager it makes sense to appoint t someone who both knows his systems and gets on with him. We shall see.
