http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/tony-jimenez/football-club-owners_b_4412796.html Life as a Football Club Owner Tony Jiminez writing for the Huffington Post about David Beckham's MLS Franchise He doesn't really give too much away about Charlton or the current situation but it's a very articulate and considered piece I have absolutely no problem with Slater and Jiminez

He's mentioning Beckham because he's bound to become our new Player-Manager, ticket sales would be through the roof
Funny you should say that but I was thinking about the recent aborted (it's not officially btw) proposed take over and wondering why the Americans would possibly be interested in us. Then I thought about marketing David Beckham as the manager. The potential will be huge. I also recall that when Powell played for England he and Beckham shared a room and got on really well. I have been drinking a lot recently though. So I could have dreamt this in a drunken stupor.
If we were trying to draw conclusions from gnomic and generalised remarks, as "experts" on what is going on inside China, North Korea, the Vatican and other hermetic administrations usually have to do, I would call that a fairly strong endorsement of maintaining faith in Chris Powell.
CP's comments on the other thread suggest the opposite. It appears he is being sidelined when it comes to players' contracts.
You know life is good when you don't need anyone else to have a conversation with.... Very productive man
